Roland WilhelmRoland Wilhelm describes himself as “one of those dogs that sticks its head out the window.”

The 54-year-old Pasadena resident has driven his motorcycle to Arizona for a hamburger, crossed the Canadian and Mexican borders in the same day, and in his latest adventure, he will ride from coast to coast in 50 hours.

On Friday, Wilhelm, 54, will embark on the 2400-mile journey from San Diego to Jacksonville Beach, Fla., stopping only 3 hours to sleep. The trip will raise money for Hathaway-Sycamores Child and Family Services, based in Altadena. Click here to read more.
