About the Column of Strength Project
“The children’s objective for this project was to use the Greek and Roman column as a symbol of strength and architectural structure. Each of their columns have been made in a contemporary context and also serve as a foundation for the vessel. The students’ hand-building techniques were explored and executed, demonstrating a high degree of technical focus. The class learned basic principles of color and design with exceptional results. I know the students are very proud of what they have accomplished.”
