The boys at Hathaway-Sycamores Child and Family Services residential campus were treated to a visit from former NFL player Glyn Milburn last month. Glyn was happy to share stories from his life in the NFL

and his playbook for success, and he knows a thing or two about success. Glyn still has the NFL record for most all-purpose yards in a single game. Currently a member of Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti’s staff, Milburn earned his degree in public policy from Stanford before playing in the National Football League for 10 years.

Talking to the boys, Glyn stressed the importance of setting goals, working hard to achieve those goals and not giving up. He told the boys not to be limited by their thoughts or fears, and assured them with hard work and focus, they can overcome obstacles in their lives. Everyone was inspired!
