Other ways to grant a holiday wish include:
Purchase a gift for a child:
Gifts should be unwrapped and non-violent. We need toys and gifts appropriate for children ages 0 to 18 years. Many of our children are teenagers. Gift certificates (Target, Best Buy, Toys R Us, Bath and Body Works, Footlocker, etc.) are always an excellent choice. Movie passes, electronic and board games (nothing over a “G” rating), sports equipment, DVDs (“G” or “PG” rating) model kits (level 1&2) and art supplies are additional options.
Adopt-a-Family and provide gifts, food and household items:
Grocery store gift certificates such as Ralphs and Vons/Pavillions are vital for our families in need.
Shop at Amazon’s new website smile.amazon.com:
Click on the link and Amazon will donate half a percent of your purchase amount to Hathaway-Sycamores.
Shop at Vroman’s Bookstore:
Designate Hathaway-Sycamores as your Vroman’s Gives Back organization and Vroman’s will donate a percentage of your total purchase to Hathaway-Sycamores. If you are not already signed up, fill out the Vroman’s Gives Back form at any register. Vroman’s is an especially great place to do holiday shopping, but the Vroman’s Give Back program is a way to support Hathaway-Sycamores year round. Click here to visit their website.

We have a ““Grant a Child a Gift” tree in my workplace. I see one of the kids wants a tripod. I have a gently used tripod sitting in my closet. Is it ok to bring it in to gift? or do I need to buy him a new one?
Thank you for thinking of our kids this holiday season! While we do accept gently used items year round, for the wish list gifts included on the “Grant a Child a Gift” trees, we are asking for new items.
Happy Holidays!
