This is not a fundraiser for Hathaway-Sycamores, it is a community event and any funds that you may choose to raise go to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP).
What can I expect at this event?
When you register for this event, you may choose to endorse how suicide has affected you. On the day of the event, you will receive color coded beads that you may choose to wear to identify those experiences. Past participants in the walk have described the power and support they have felt by looking around at the crowd and seeing how many others have been affected in the same ways.
We hope that you will join us in this important event, and invite you to bring along friends, family, and community members!
You can help raise awareness by using your social media to let your connections know you are walking. Tags for the event are: #ootdla, #afspla, and #StopSuicide.
