Kaiser Volunteers at Hathaway-SycamoresRecently a group of volunteers from Kaiser Permanente visited our Family Resource Center in Highland Park to help organize and distribute much needed items for the children, young adults, and families we serve. The volunteers put together bundles for babies – with diapers, toys, outfits to wear and sippy cups; for toddlers and school-age children – with coloring books and school supplies; and young adults – with backpacks filled with clothing, books and hygiene products.

Besides giving back to the community, this was a team building opportunity for the Kaiser volunteers who came here from across the country. The group was excited about helping and doing something positive. The thought and creativity they put into making every bundle was impressive. We are thankful to the Kaiser Permanente staff members for their service, and the bundles are a tremendous hit with all the recipients!
